The Bricklayer Apprenticeship is open to anyone over the age of 18.

Bricklayers construct and repair walls, foundations, walkways and other structures.

What Are The Core Skills?

You should be a methodical and logical person. You should be a good team player and enjoy others company. You should be able to take direction and also take the initiative when required.

You should also have a good sense of balance and head for heights.

You should have good written and verbal English skills, as the job requires following written instructions.

You should also have a high level of numeracy, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, understand percentages, decimal places and fractions.

What Are The Entry Requirements?

You should be over the age of eighteen.

You should have permanent residency in the United States.

You should be able to prove your identity.

You should possess a driver’s license.

A high school diploma is preferable.

You should be happy to sit an aptitude test prior to being admitted to the apprenticeship.


What Is It?

Civil Engineers work on construction sites and are responsible for the maintenance of projects such as roads, railroads, airports and bridges, to name but a few.

A Civil Engineer may also give advice on projects of all types – large and small. They also can be contractors who build them.
