International Trade

The San Joaquin Delta College SBDC Outreach Center operated by AEDC can be the first contact for businesses interested in international trade. Whether a business is just starting to branch out into new markets or wants to expand their existing client base, the staff can provide them with an initial assessment of their needs and help the company advance to the next step in developing an international trade component of their market. We offer seminars and one-on-one training, whichever fits the needs of the client. Most services are free!!!

Marketing Assistance

A broad range of marketing information is available for small businesses wanting to identify new clients, find suppliers, or assess their competition. San Joaquin Delta College SBDC Outreach Center / AEDC staff has access to extensive databases, including information on millions of U.S. and international companies. The staff helps an interested business focus on specific geographical locations for their marketing effort, define the types of businesses they want to target, and shape a database of information that can be used for mailing, telemarketing or research.

Business Library

Books, videos and publications on specialized areas of interest to small businesses are available at the Outreach Center / AEDC office. Call or visit for more information. Our address is 1500 S. Highway 49, Suite 202, in Jackson. The publications and books are loaned out at no charge, however, some books require a security deposit.

Seminars and Workshops

The Outreach Center and AEDC work closely with the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), the Amador County Chamber of Commerce and other organizations to provide seminars on specific topics of interest and importance to small business owners and managers.

Mystery Shopper Program

A great benefit to small businesses, the Mystery Shopper Program will send a secret shopper to your business. A detailed evaluation will be completed on your products, services, and staff selling abilities. Then a staff person will be available for you to offer recommendations for improvements where appropriate.

Additional Resources

The Outreach Center as part of Amador Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) has the ability to offer additional resources, such as the state registry for California State Contracts, and AEDC is a "Certified Development Company" authorized to package SBA 504 loan packages as well as 7(a) loan packages.
